Thanks for visiting the Eco Office Supplies stand at the Sustainable Living Expo which was held over the weekend of the 1st and 2nd May at the Noarlunga Leisure Centre in South Australia.

The Sustainable Living Expo incorporated interactive displays, exhibits, workshops, business and community stalls and presentations. With a focus on waste, water, garden, food, transport, energy and people – this FREE community event provided real world solutions to help achieve sustainable change.

CleverGreen™ Conference & Showcase

Eco Office Supplies is proud to be one of the 50 South Australian companies who showcased their innovative products and services at the CleverGreen™ Conference & Showcase held at the Adelaide Convention Centre on 15 & 16 February 2010.

Eco Office Supplies is an Australian online retailer that supplies environmentally responsible alternatives to consumable office requisites. It helps its customers assess their stationery and janitorial supply requirements and change to recycled and sustainable products that support 'green procurement' policies.

Eco Office® Director, Heather Lesley had the opportunity to personally show our sustainable product range to both the Hon Mike Rann MP, Premier of South Australia and Hon Jay Weatherill MP, Minister for Environment and Conservation during their visit to the CleverGreen™ Showcase.

This inspiring conference featured talks by guest speaker Senator the Hon Penny Wong, Minister for Climate Change and Water as well as internationally recognised speakers and national decision makers discussing the latest innovations in cleantech sectors including eco-friendly construction, water treatment and security, biofuel manufacture, renewable energies and waste management.

The event was officially launched by Australia's first Minister for Sustainability and Climate Change – the Premier of South Australia.

Our story

Eco Office was founded by South Australian eco-entrepreneurs Heather Lesley and Robert Brough-Smyth.

Since January 2008, Heather and Robert have been supplying their Adelaide clients with environmentally preferred office supplies through their green cleaning business Eco Natural Commercial Cleaning.

Eco Natural® was established to meet an unmet need in the Adelaide market place for an office cleaning service that uses environmentally responsible products and practices. More than just a cleaner, Eco Natural® also assists it's clients to green their workplace with tailor-made recycling programs and waste management solutions.

“By working with green businesses we gained unique insights into the types of consumables that all offices share in common, as well as their recycling needs”, says Heather Lesley.

“But when we tried to source ‘eco-friendly’ office supplies both for our own office as well as for our clients, we quickly learned that there is no single retailer in Australia that is 100% devoted to the supply of sustainable janitorial and stationery office requisites.

Due to the thousands of product lines stocked by most stationery stores – searching for green office products is like looking for a needle in a haystack!” exclaimed Heather.

Green office supply stores are well established in the US and UK, but as yet in Australia the demand outstrips the supply.

Once again, Heather and Robert saw a business opportunity to fill a market gap by establishing Eco Office® as ‘Australia's green office supply store’ and expand their Adelaide service to cover Australia-wide product delivery.
